OUIL603 - Guardian Brief

I decided to take on the Guardian brief, because I've never done editorial illustration before, I thought it would be nice to give it a go and to get back into the flow of reacting to a specific brief, rather than just doing illustration for fun, like I had been over the summer holidays.
The brief asked for three illustrations on the theme of working in the creative industries.
I wasn't too sure what to do for this brief, I felt a little rusty after the holidays.

The first image was for an article about how to build the perfect protfilio.

On reflection, I wish I had swapped the colours round so that it looked more like a set, I think this one stands out a little bit.

Overall, I was pleased with my submission, I think that considering I'm not really a fan of editorial work, I managed to create something that reflects the way I like to work and the recognisable aspects of my work.
