OUIL406 - Studio Brief 1 - Experimentation

I tried experimenting with different shapes and textures for the stickers, I kind of wanted a 'hipster' stylish look but tried to make it also visually interesting and not just a direct copy of other 'hipster' type posters that you see. At first I tried using paint and ink to create a messy look and wanted to contrast that with using tape to create a clean and crisp white negative space.

I began struggling with where to place to font and the spacing, and also where to place the actual image, as I didn't really like the black lines on top of the block of colour as I thought it looked too dark.

I wanted to carry on experimenting with tape and paint/ink because I like the crisp edge that contrasts with the loose and fluid look of the ink on the inside.

I tried just experimenting with the images and font without colour, I think keeping the images and font simple is more effective because it makes it more recognisable.

In these final two designs I wanted to try and use a media that helped communicate alongside the image and text, I started using blue chalk as I think this best helped to communicate the idea of someone being too cold.
