OUIL406 - Studio Brief 1 - Poster Research

Seeing as we want to kind of satirise and point out how stupid wearing unsuitable clothes is, we decided it would be good to research advertisements that are geared towards the people we want to point out these issues to.

The fonts used all seem to be combined with the image and flow with it, rather than being seperate by itself. I want to combine this into our sticker and make the text wrap around the actual image and follow its shape.

All of these posters have a similar theme, they are simple and are mostly dominated by text, which again is quite simple and angular, nothing fancy. They all seem to have a simple colour palette too, usually only 2 or 3 colours, which makes the poster stand out, but also easy to understand and read when you are only passing past quickly.

All of these logos are pretty similar, they are simple so that they are easy to read and recognisable from far away, as to draw attention from their audience and people who are already invested in the brand. I like the slight variation in the last Urban Outfitters logo as it adds a bit of style to a normal font, it kind of looks like the letters are slightly mishapen which gives it an edgier look.
