OUIL603 - Studio Brief 6 Project boards

These are the boards for my studio brief 6, which was the Penguin books entry. It was definitely useful for me to take on this brief, seeing as I want to go into publishing after graduation, and I had never actually designed a proper book cover before. It was quite difficult working with text and getting that to look write alongside an illustration, mainly because I'm not a graphic designer, but I also always feel conflicted between using actual fonts and my own hand drawn type. If I were to do this brief again I would probably spend more time mocking things up and putting them into different contexts, although I think the work itself is good and has given me a solid portfolio piece.
